Barnardos – Information on childcare, anti-bullying and a booklet on your child’s numeracy development.

Help my kid learn – Ideas for learning, which can be tailored to suit the age of your child.

Department of Education and Skills – Government website which includes a section for parents, as well as school-related guidelines, circulars and inspection reports.

National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) – Information on learning outcomes for each class level and supplementary videos and tip sheets to help your child’s learning at home.

Starfall – Phonics practise exercises, including the sound that each letter makes in the English alphabet.

Woodlands Junior School – An amazing array of activities in all subject areas, including online games to practise skills in maths and English.

ISPCC – Ireland’s oldest and most well-known children’s charity (Irish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children).

National Parents Council Primary – Information for parents on your child’s learning and development in primary school and how you can become involved by setting-up and taking-partin your school’s Parents’ Association.

Green Schools Ireland – An international environmental education programme, environmental management system and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole school action for the environment.

Rainbows Ireland – Support for children and young people who have been affected by the death of a close family member or whose family has changed because their parents have separated or divorced.
